Hi Reader,
Let’s have a real conversation…
You’ve got dreams, goals, faith—and a heart that desires a godly, healthy, loving relationship. And guess what?
You’re not wrong for that. You’re not asking for too much. You’re asking for what God already planned for you.
But in a world where people bend the Word to fit their feelings, it’s easy to feel unsure. Should you really expect him to be saved? Spirit-led? Marriage-minded?
Yes. Yes. And yes.
In Rule #1 of Smart Dating Rules for Christian Women I break down exactly what you should not compromise on during your dating season. This is the wisdom I wish more of us had before wasting time on the wrong one. Here are the standards I go over in the book:
He Must Be a Christian.
This is not optional, sis. 2 Corinthians 6:14 is clear—we are not to be unequally yoked. If he doesn’t love Jesus, how can he love you the way God intended?
He Must Act Like a Christian.
Talk is cheap. His life should show fruit—love, patience, integrity, wisdom. We’re not asking for perfection, but if he’s not even trying to imitate Christ, he’s not ready to lead you.
He Must Desire Marriage AND Be Husband Material.
No more wasting time on situationships. If he can’t love like Ephesians 5 describes—or worse, doesn’t even know what godly marriage looks like—he’s not the one.
He Must Be Single.
This should be obvious, but too many women are holding out for men who are still married. Sis, if he’s “going through a divorce,” he’s still someone else’s husband. God is not sending you another woman’s man. Full stop.
He Must Be Attractive To YOU.
Yes, you can have godly and fine. Proverbs 10:24 says the desires of the righteous will be granted. God made your preferences on purpose—don’t shrink them.
✨ Here’s the truth:
These aren’t just suggestions. These are biblical safeguards that protect your heart, your peace, and your purpose. And the world will tell you you’re being too picky. But I’m here to tell you: You’re being obedient.
Your standards are sacred.
And that’s exactly what I unpack with love, scripture, and bold truth in this book. You’ll learn how to set and keep standards without apology, guilt, or fear that “you’ll end up alone.”
This book is your dating blueprint rooted in faith, not fear.
